Disney is for Lovers

Hello Travelers!

I was able to go with my husband on a fabulous, romantic trip to Disney World the week after Thanksgiving, and it was so great!

“Romantic? Disney World?” you say.  Yes!

There are parts of a Disney vacation that are obviously not romantic… crying kids, waiting in lines, and let’s not even talk about the germs! But there is a lot of romance to be found!

Late November or early December is my first-choice time to visit Disney; with lower crowds, nice weather and Christmas everywhere!  We were able to stay at Coronado Spring Resort, a moderate resort, where we stayed for our first anniversary.  Coronado Springs is very quiet and relaxing after a long day at the parks.

How about romance at the parks? For this trip we knew we wouldn’t see and do everything but had a plan to see our favorites while adding in new attractions and dining.  There is something relaxing about not rushing but enjoying the moments together.  Strolling hand in hand with your sweetie towards Cinderella Castle is a fabulous thing! One of our main goals was to see every nighttime show Disney Parks offers.  When you are at Disney with tired kids the evening shows may not work into your schedule, so an adult trip is the perfect time to stay out late, grab a drink and catch the shows. We saw Fantasmic (with a Grapefruit Beer and refillable popcorn bucket) as well as the Jingle Jam Jingle Bam show at Hollywood Studios. Rivers of Light was beautiful at Animal Kingdom.  I absolutely loved walking around World Showcase at Epcot and finding a great spot to watch the Illuminations fireworks.  Who wouldn’t want to be with their favorite person at Magic Kingdom watching the Happily Ever After show? (the best WDW show of all in my opinion)

I cry every time we see Illuminations and Happily Ever After! Don’t judge.

Jason and I enjoyed some romantic boat and monorail rides with wonderful views of the World on our way to and from dining reservations around the property. We loved Kona Café at the Polynesian and Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios, but my favorite relaxed and romantic meal was at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom!

The experience of dining in the Beasts Castle is absolutely amazing, the food and service were fabulous. Our cast member told us more about the Castle and some interesting facts about the amazing surprises it holds.  And I got to meet the Beast himself after dinner!  Be Our Guest is an extremely difficult reservation to get, for very good reason!

As usual, no matter how long you stay it’s never enough, but we were happy to get home to our family for sure.  It was the perfect way for us to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary!

Do you have a special anniversary or life event coming up that you’d like to celebrate at Disney World?  I would love to help you plan the trip you have always wanted!  Feel free to contact me for a free quote or let me know if you have any questions about Disney or other Orlando area vacations.  I would love to help!

It’s never a bad time to See the Mouse!
